About this drink
Green Hive is the gentle one on our menu. Crisp apple and pineapple give it a clean, juicy base, a little honey rounds the edges, and cool shiso leaf adds a fresh, minty-herbal finish. It is light, softly sparkling and easy to drink any time of day, a good first bottle if you are new to living drinks.
It is fermented with a ginger bug: a wild starter of fresh ginger, sugar and water that we feed every day until it is alive with natural yeasts and bacteria. Added to the fruit base, the culture slowly turns sugar into gentle acidity and natural fizz. Nothing is force-carbonated or pasteurised, so the drink is bottled raw with its live probiotics and cold-pressed fruit.
